This committee consists of:
Chair
As Chair of the committee, you are responsible for creating a clear vision for the event, while setting periodic goals, motivating your committee members, and maintaining oversight in all aspects related to the event and the committee. You will set and host weekly meetings to ensure progress and be ready to assist your members.
A key responsibility of the chair is Event Coordination, entailing keeping direct contact with external representatives to book the event’s venue, catering and devising a clear schedule and work division to ensure the productive flow of the event.
3x ACQUISITION
As part of the Acquisition team, you’ll be the driving force behind securing top-tier speakers and partners for the Career Development Days. You excel at reaching out to companies and professionals through cold calls and emails, showing persistence and never taking no for an answer.
In addition to curating an inspiring lineup of workshops and keynotes, you’ll also be responsible for sourcing and assembling the perfect goodie bags for attendees. Your charisma, confidence, and excellent communication skills will ensure strong relationships with external partners and a memorable experience for everyone involved.
Marketing
As the Marketeer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and promoting the inaugural edition of the Career Development Days. Your mission is to amplify the event’s visibility through a mix of online and offline channels, creating excitement and anticipation among students and alumni.
You’ll design eye-catching promotional materials such as posters, flyers, and social media posts, driving a cohesive marketing strategy that maximizes attendance.
Your creativity and storytelling skills will be instrumental in marketing and establishing Career Development Days as a flagship event for years to come.
2x event cOORDINATOR
As the Event Coordinator of the Career Development Days, you play a central role in shaping a high-impact, professional event that bridges students and the working world. Working closely with external partners and the committee team, you ensure that each session runs smoothly and delivers maximum value to participating students. Your strong organizational skills and attention to detail are key to creating a professional, inspiring environment where students can confidently develop essential soft skills, expand their network, and take the next step in their career journey.
As CDD is a multiday event, there will be two event coordinators: one focusing on the logistics and budgetary aspects and the other more closely involved in communication and internal organization. More specifically, the former will make sure that all rooms are booked, speakers are informed, room layouts adapted to the event and snacks and gifts within budget. The other will ensure smooth internal running, compiling a schedule for the committee to make sure everyone in the team knows their tasks and communicate with participants to ensure transparency and smooth execution.
