Chair
Raphaël Taisne
Hi, I’m Raphaël, the Chair of MAA for 2025/2026. I’m from Fance and Korea and in my final year of the Economics and Business Economics Bachelor’s at the University of Amsterdam. With an international upbringing, I’ve always been drawn to new places, cultures, and ideas, and that’s exactly what I love about MAA. It’s a community that brings together ambitious people from different backgrounds, disciplines and universities, all united by a drive to grow and connect. This year, I’m focused on making MAA a place where members not only build lasting connections but also develop the skills and experience to excel in their careers. Outside of MAA, I like staying active, whether that’s at the gym, on the football pitch, or just exploring Amsterdam with friends.

Vice-Chair
Appoline Fluxa
Hi everyone! My name is Appoline, and I’m the Vice Chair of the 36th board of MAA. I’m 20 years old, originally from France, and currently in the final year of my Bachelor’s in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics. I’m excited to take on the challenge of managing the finances of such a great association. What drew me to MAA was its mission to bridge the gap between student life and the professional world, creating opportunities for the two to connect more easily. I look forward to collaborating with our amazing board and committees throughout the year!

Marketing Officer
Andriana Demetriou
Hello hello! I’m Andriana, the Marketing Officer of MAA for the year 2025-26! I’m 22 years old and currently pursuing my Master’s in Digital Marketing at the University of Amsterdam. I come from the tiny, beautiful, stunning, breathtaking island of Cyprus, so I naturally enjoy long walks on the beach, Greek food and good music. I joined MAA to gain hands-on experience in leading a team and executing marketing strategies across platforms, with the goal of increasing MAA’s visibility and impact.

External Relations Officer
Giang Le
Hey guys! My name is Giang and I’m the External Relations Officer of the MAA. I’m 19 years old, originally from Vietnam, and currently in the final year of my Bachelor’s in Communication Science at the UvA. Last year, I served as the Acquisitions Officer for the MAA Speeddate Recruitment Event Committee, which prepared me for my board role and made me fall in love with the association. I’m really excited to organize career events and connect goal-oriented students with companies. Outside of MAA, I love traveling, exploring new spots in the city, spending time with friends, and just having fun in general 🙂

Internal Relations Officer
Hanna Holst
Hi there! My name is Hanna, and I am the Internal Relations Officer of the 36th MAA Board. I am 21 years old and currently in the final year of my Bachelors in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics (PPLE). Originally from Hamburg, German, I joined the MAA last year as a part of the MCD (now ACME) committee and fell in love with the tight community outside my own study programme as well as the networking opportunities I gained professionally. Outside of uni, you will often catch me in a café with friends or a book/crochet project in hand. Very excited for this year and looking forward to meeting you at one of our MAA events!

Data and Growth Director
Maria Jose Chacon
Hi everyone! I’m María José, the Data and Growth Director for the 2025/2026 MAA Board. I’m from Costa Rica and currently starting my third year of the Bachelor’s in Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam. Last year, I was part of MAA as the Markeeter for the Lustrum Committee, which gave me the chance to work creatively, collaborate with amazing people, and get to know the association from the inside. This year, I’m excited to take on a new challenge using data and strategy to help MAA grow and connect with even more students. Outside of MAA, you’ll probably find me at the beach (whenever I’m back home), swimming, or spending time with friends. I can’t wait for a year full of growth, learning, and fun!
